Manuela thinks of space as containers of affections.
Painting is her way of connecting with the spatialized memories
of the places she inhabits. Evoking them to re-recognize them and recognize herself in them, taking architecture and the notion of
inhabiting as axes.


She graduated from the Visual Arts program at the Faculty of Arts and Design
(UNAM). In 2022 she began her postgraduate studies
in the Master of Artistic Production at the Autonomous University of Morelos. During 2018 she took the VII Diploma of Visual Arts Production at CaSa and in 2017 she was part of the
Contemporary Painting Seminar at T.A.C.O. She was a scholarship holder
of the FONCA Young Creators program in its 2016 – 2017 edition in the specialty of painting.


She has had various individual and collective exhibitions, in
Mexico and abroad. During 2019, she completed an artistic residency at the Gæsteatelier Hollufgård in Denmark. Her work has been selected in different national competitions, such as the National Biennial of Monterrey ARTEMERGENTE and the
First Pictorial Triennial of Tijuana. In 2021, she won the acquisition award at the XLI National Meeting of Young Art.
